Dr. Stephen Anthony Conicello, DC

Dr. Conicello is currently practicing functional medicine; his business is called Agape Institute of Functional Healthcare. This is a warning to those considering thermal imaging. Dr. Conicello promotes thermography over mammography stating that it is safer and more effective and can detect cancer 8-10 years before a mammogram. My first scan showed no cancer and for the first time in 15 years I did not get my annual mammogram. One year later I was shocked to find out through a CT scan that I had breast cancer--a 3 cm tumor and spreading into the lymph nodes. How could this be?! The thermal scan had showed nothing. I had a second scan done, and it too showed no cancer...even though I was already diagnosed stage 2! I am so upset and full of regret that I did not get my mammogram. Perhaps my cancer would have been detected when it was much smaller and hadn't spread. I 'm especially outraged that Dr. Conicello continues to promote this test! Thermal imaging DID NOT detect cancer… in my body.
