Dr. Stephen Francis Conley, MD

Dr. Conley was shockingly condescending and arrogant. I never considered researching him as we have had nothing but positive experiences with Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. I sure regret not looking into him prior to our appointment as our experience matched what other patients have written here. My guess is they send him out to Delafield once a week to get a break from him themselves. It would definitely be worth the drive to go to Children's directly and get a more personable doctor.

Dr. Conley has an excellent reputation and obviously is a skilled practioner. His bedside manner is off putting and he is condescending. When your child is really sick, he will treat you, as the parent, as if you have no experience with medicine or your own child's care. He did not know who he was talking to when we walked in and really didn't care to. I think he will make a good diagnosis but I lost any confidence in him because of his lack of respect for the intelligence of his patient and our family. We were scared there was something really wrong and that's exactly when you shouldn't forget to show compassion. Anyway, if you don't mind being talked to as if you are brand new to parenting and are completely uneducated, then he's your guy. He'll tell you what's wrong with your kid and probably be right. If not, see someone else who can provide the same care but with compassion and patience. Maybe he just had an off day. Who knows?

Rude, disrespectful, insensitive, zero bedside manners. From the moment he walks in treating you and your child as if you do not deserve his time. My son was in recovery still and he came back to explain how the procedure went. I simply started to asked a question and he put his hand up, signaling me to 'shut up'. There were many more examples, some much worse. I hope you read the reviews and switch to another doctor. It is no secret at that hospital that he is a horrible man and extremely difficult to work with. Switching to another ENT was the best decision.

Dr. Conley makes me feel rushed every time we visit and talks extremely fast. This makes it difficult to understand what is really going on with your child. When I have asked questions, he'll start his response with, "Like I said." I would imagine he does great with patients who have higher medical needs, but minimizes what I am dealing with when it comes to our child. The support staff is great!

Dr.Conley was very helpful and spent a great deal of time explaining our sons condition. Dr. Conley went over every step of our sons surgery . He is very willing to answer all questions. His nursing staff is great. We highly recommend Dr. Conley.

Arrogant, condescending, pompous, etc. Needs to have a reality check so he can treat people as people, not as second-class citizens.

very condesending. Talks to you like you are stupid when you ask a question. Highly suggest picking someone else in his group. Staff is wonderful, just not him.
