Dr. Stephen Andrew Coulson, MD

I brought my young adult child with special needs to Dr. Coulson for a new patient visit. My child is very complex medically, and it can be a struggle to communicate needs and coordinate care without sounding over-anxious. I am very thankful for our many doctors who will understand our situation, do their research, and take time to educate and advise us along with managing referrals, tests, and prescriptions. Dr. Coulson is coming in at a difficult juncture in my son's care, and very deftly managed multiple questions and problems in just one visit. We are so, so thankful for his guidance and competence, and for his willingness to take extra time to research my child's latest rare diagnosis. I feel that we received expert level treatment. A weight off my mind, to leave a primary care appointment without any unaddressed concerns for my loved one's health.

Went in for issues with breathing, extreme tightness in my throat, my stomach puffing out to look like I was 6 months pregnant in the space of an hour, dizziness, headache, tingling and numbness of my mouth and face, heartbeat not feeling quite right, etc - I was taking a new antibiotic and have enough medication allergies to know what a reaction to meds feels like. He was very condescending about how allergic reactions work ( I am well versed on this topic) and basically accused me of being a hypochondriac that gave myself a panic attack and sent me home with a 10 page doc on how to manage my anxiety (I don't have anxiety and never go to the doctor because I'm not a hypochondriac); he told me to continue taking the antibiotic after being in the room with me for maybe 2 minutes. Did more research on my own and found that every issue I was having is a documented side effect of the antibiotic. Very arrogant and condescending to this poor dramatic and emotional woman. Benadryl helped.

Just saw this ER Dr. For our daughter....he came in claiming and knowing right away what was wrong by a push on her back causing her intense pain to worsen, questioned her over and over are you sure you hurt...are you really sure..arrogent...scared the crap out of her with his ideas immediately that she had a abcess in back or broken...only way to have pain where she had it ...when he was told we have test showing back is fine.....CT proved him wrong...so than he played a new card and said depression is key...and self evaluated her with motions of movment...after she had a narcotic in her to help with pain to lessen lightly...she is miserable today. He belittled her main Dr.s as they diognesses of meds where wrong in the summary given to us...he feels above others as his actions show strong.....Hospital Administration will be notified of how she was treated and diagnosed, and for his extreme rudness. Not worth even 1 star

I ended up in the ER and he did absolutely nothing. He wouldn't run any tests to figure out what was wrong because he said I didn't look like anything was wrong. He kept telling me that all the other drs I've been to are wrong and so are the nurses. He was in there for literally 5 mins.

I came to the ER with severe chest pains. I have a history of heart issues and I’ve even had open heart surgery. He would not help me. He did not want to run tests and was in a hurry to push me out. He diagnosed me with a sore chest muscle by just touching my chest. He refused to write me a doctors note ! I suffered with no results or answers just a large bill! Im no MD but this is my body and common sense will tell you A strained muscle does not cause light headed ness , fatigue and dizziness!! He’s rude and acted like I was beneath him!!

I had surgery and he was in hospital doctor. I only seen him for 5 min and asked to do so paper work for me for work and he said" I don't have time to do paper work for you" he more less said he don't get paid for my paper work but yet he can bill my insurance $1200.00 for 5 minutes of his time seeing him. Very poor manners with patient and all he did was listen to my lungs and told me I can go home discharged.

I came in with abdominal pain and low blood count. The ER said I had an ulcer or something, but Dr. Coulson saw me and said that something didn't fit, looked into it and found that I had lymphoma. I'd be dead if it weren't for him, and I can't say enough about him. You can see that he's thinking the whole time, and wants you, his patient, to do well.
