Excellent Dr..

Dr. Cox correctly identified the problem with my foot and thought physical therapy was the best way to go to see what improvement could be made. I thought that surgery was my only choice after having trouble with the foot for 2 years. Fortunately, the physical therapy has worked much better than I thought.

Dr. Cox is excellent. He listens to his patients and correctly diagnosed my problem.

I began my treatment by Dr. Stephen Cox and had ever confidence in him and his staff. I believe he is a good surgeon but after 3 surgeries later and another by another surgeon to try to correct an infection caused by the surgery to replace my ankle I am told I will most likely loose my ankle and maybe everything below my knee due to lack of wound care. My wife and I both ask several times about going to wound care and our answer was that Dr. Cox did his own wound care. I developed an blister from being in surgery for 7 hours and was told by Dr. Cox's PA that it should be left alone and not opened due to infection. Moments later Dr. Cox entered the room and immediatley opened it up to drain. Exactly what the PA had just said should not have been done. And months later I was sent by my Internal Medicine Dr. to an Infectious disease Dr. to be admitted to have infection scrapped from my wound and put on 12 weeks of intravenious antibiotics. One year later the infection is back and… now they are saying it could be chronic and now I am looking at amputation. I am writing this because I wish I had read something to this effect to watch out for after care by this facility.

Dr Cox did surgery on my foot 6 years ago. He is the best in the state as far as I am concerned. If it were not for him and God I would be in a wheelchair today. Thank You for being a great Dr and Ms. Jan for being the best also.
