Amazing doctor who cares about his patients and listens to your concerns. And is extremely thorough with his explanations. Amazing doctor!

VERY RUDE. Find someone with Character.

Dr. Desio performed a miniscus repair on my left knee. The knee continued to swell after the surgery. Dr Desio tested the fluid. He called me at home to tell me that I had a rare infection. In 3 days I was due to fly out to California for 3 months. This could not happen because I had to have an emergency surgery called a washout. I would have been ok with this surgery but Dr Desio said his colleague Dr Lahey would do the washout. I didn’t know him . I also had to report after the washout to Dr. Lahey’s office for my follow ups. Not Dr. Desio’s. On top of that I had to go to St. V’s hospital daily for 30 days while I was injected through a port in my arm of very strong medicine reporting at 9am everyday. This medicine affected my liver and I had to have my blood tested often. If Dr. Desio would have called me and asked how I was doing I probably wouldn’t be writing this review. He is too busy with his famous patients and is self centered. I beg you not to see this man. He may be a Dr.… But to me he is a coward.

A while ago I wanted to book an appointment with Dr. Desio. First time I called I spoke to Jen who was extremely rude. Told me I needed to wait until they received a call from my doctor. Second time I called after my doctor office told me everything was all set I spoke to Gina, again RUDE. She answered the phone like she didn’t even feel like working, and didn’t want to give me her name. I’ll be going just about anywhere else.

Dr. Desio himself is phenomenal! His office staff is some of the most rude I've ever encountered, which ruins the whole experience. I need surgery but will be going elsewhere.

Writing this letter way too late but I do feel at this point it needs to be said. 15 years ago I blew out my ACL playing basketball. I went to Dr. Desio who gave me the choice of using my own hamstring or a cadaver's ACL. I choice using my own hamstring surgery went extremely well with no knee after surgery and minor pain where he took the hamstring from. I followed his protocol call PT, exercise, etc and after 6 months I was back playing basketball. To this day I continue to play basketball and I'm very active never having pain in my knee. He to me is the only person I would recommend. I've told people this story and one person told me he did his shoulder surgery that no other doctor would touch and he too has a success story.
