Dr. Stephen Brent Devenport, MD

Scheduled a physical only to be billed for an office visit. Apparently he can switch the reason for visit to whatever he likes. I won't be returning to this unprofessional.

I’ve seen this doctor for a little over a year and has never followed up on claims to call in and refill prescriptions. I have seen this doctor on multiple occasions with only a couple days between the visit at his request and he constantly asks if I’m new, what brings me into the office today, or some other lame introduction

Even though I no longer live in Riverton area, I still go to Dr. Devenport. I love his attentiveness and willingness to take whatever time I need. He is thorough and kind and excellent at diagnosing any problems I've had. I highly recommend Dr. D!

I've waited for months and months for test results that were kind of important. This office never calls me back. Never follows through. Very unprofessional

My visit went great; doctor was attentive and nice. But when I was billed for what I thought was going to be a preventative visit (yearly physical) covered at 100%, I was surprised to see that I got charged additionally! Apparently the brief conversation on how I was feeling lately made the appointment diagnostic in addition to preventative. I do not recommend him; I need a doctor that I can have an open dialogue with without being charged extra!

waited way too long

I visited Dr. Devenport's office. I was delighted at how soon I could get in and it was close to my home. He is very nice and likable and his nurse was also. I have had a sore throat for three weeks and decided something was really wrong so I went in. He ran a strep test and asked a few questions but basically let me know "these things are hard to diagnose." He reccomended a CT scan if the issue persisted. He also precribed a nasal spray. After a couple of days, I still felt miserable. I had a temp of 104, body aches, chills and headache. I called the office and let them know I was having problems. I left a message in the morning with the nurse and still had not received a call by 2pm so called back but was told not to leave another message because it would delay how soon they could call me back. Just after 4, I got a call from the nurse who said Dr. Devenport would like me to come in again. She arranged for an appt. the next day. I was a bit upset because my fever was… high but took it. She told me to make sure and call back if I decided to cancel. I was grateful when she called back and told me there was an after hours clinic that they could go to with my "records." Oh yeah, they would no I tested negative for strep, that the doctor had no idea what was wrong with me and that he prescribed a nasal inhaleer. After discussing with my husband, I decided to cancel appt. and find another doctor. I called and to cancel but was told the appt. was not anywhere in the system (glad to know that before I showed up and there was not appt.). I let the receptionist know that I felt the Dr. was not competent and now knew that the nurse did not do as she said she would. Needless to say, I went into another group's urgent care this evening. My strep culture came back VERY positive and I have a severe sinus infection which the dr. believed I had for a long time. Dr. Devenport said no strep, no sinus infection and no sore throat. I guess when he was looking at me he failed to REALLY look at me. I do not reccomend him and will be sure to let people know that if you want someone who guesses and will misdiagnose, this is your guy. Upset that I wasted my money, my time and my health.

I went to Doctor Devenport since my PCP was on vacation, and he immediately diagnosed my issue (blood clot). He has since been on top of my treatments as well as what we need to do in the future. He has been great and I intend to change to him for my PCP.
