Dr. Stephen C Duck, MD

My daughter has seen Dr Duck all of her life and I cannot say enough good things about him. I will be heartbroken if he ever leaves or when he retires.

My son was diagnosed with pituitary macroadenoma, and I needed to find an experience pediatric endocrinologist to help me and guide me through this stressful time. I have been trying desperately to search for information through med journals and books in hope to understand the disease and viable treatments. Thought I have learned a great deal, I was unsure about what would be the best options for my son and was going through so much agony and anxiety for not able to come up with an informed interpretation of the literature. This changed after we met Dr. Duck. Dr. Duck is friendly, and carying, and he has done substential research in regard to my son's illness prior to our appointment. He explained pros and cons of treatment choices for my son and patiently listened and answered all my questions and concerns. He gave us relevant literatures to study, and ordered tests (with detailed instructions for checking results). He has a treatment plan for us. I felt more hopeful after our first… appointment with Dr. Duck. I highly recommend Dr. Duck!

Dr Duck reminds me a lot of Dr House ( yes, as in the t.v show). He's very smart and his semi sarcastic sense of humor makes him personable. We're working with him in hopes of trying to figure out why my child is small for his age. Tests were ordered quickly by Dr Duck. I didn't like that I had to keep calling to get the results, I wish his staff would've called me when they were ready. Dr Duck did talk to my child and was patient with us, I felt like a dummy sometimes when I had to ask him to speak in "non doctor terms", other then that I think he's a good doctor who is extremely intelligent.

Absolutely disgusted!!! After driving an hour for my daughters appointment..there was nobody at the front desk to direct me to his office due to an emergency. I was consequently late for my appointment, Dr Duck refused to see my daughter. A complete waste of my entire morning as I traveled an hour , waited an hour, and had to return home an additional hour with no Dr visit..uggghhh!!!

30 yrs. ago, Dr. Duck diagnosed me with juvenile diabetes and treated me my entire childhood/teen yrs. Words can't even describe the gratefulness and appreciation I have for this man. I was very ill when first taken into the hospital (I first saw him in Milwaukee, WI) and he worked quickly to get me under control. My condition was explained to my mother and I were shown self care. Dr. Duck never sugar coated things, he was always very upfront, yet never rude. Just blunt, to the point, and honest so there was never any misunderstanding my condition. He diagnosed and helped control my diabetes and then my goiter on my thyroid, along with hypothyroidism. He kept me in track when I was going through adolescence, when that is a difficult time for diabetics. He kept me in line by the bluntness and saying things like "well, you're older now, so your mom can't and shouldn't have to make sure your doing what you're suppose to. If you're ok living with severe complications, then go right ahead,… but I can tell you it's going to be a terrible ride for you if you choose that." WOW! I had never had someone be that frank with me and honestly, I probably didn't like him at that moment, BUT I needed that. Pure honesty. He was completely dedicated to my well being and he taught me how to be also.

My son has been a patient now for over 14years. We started seeing Dr. Duck when my son was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes when he was 3 1/2 years old. We are in fact said because he will need to move on from Dr. Duck's care as he will soon be over 18 years old. We highly recommend Dr. Duck and his practice. The staff is outstanding as well. The staff nurses are long term; they get to know the children and they deeply care about the kids. My son is extremely healthy and well controlled due to this practice.

my experience with this Dr. is poor. My daughter suffered from profound fatigue, depression, pain, hairloss and a host of other symptoms. Because she "looks healthy" he dismissed my concerns She was misdiagnosed and continued to deteriorate. She was producing no cortisol or growth hormone and was suffering from the advanced stages of lyme disease and 3 additional co infection. I am sure Dr. Duck is good when the diagnoses is textbook and easy. If your case is complicated look for another Dr.
