I miss Dr. Durrenburger working in Huntington wv. I wish he was still here. He is the best psychiatrists I ever had. He takes the time to listen to your problems n knows the best course of treatment. I cant take any antidepressants they make me feel horrible n cramp all over so he didnt really prescribe me any meds n just was a huge help just being there to listen. I do wish he was still working in Huntington wv cause I kno for sure I'd still be a patient of his. Good psychiatrists are hard to find n so that's why I dont have one now. We miss you in Huntington wv Dr.D

I was recently a patient at Fairmont Regional Hospital due to an acute, and now ongoing, mental illness. This was my first stay at Fairmont and I was blessed to be treated by Dr. Stephen Durrenberger. My mental illness is newly diagnosed and a previous hospitalization offered no in-depth psychological care, the core of my illness. I felt so blessed to discover that Dr. Durrenberger had a kind, calm manner of speaking with his patients, rather than the feeling of being "talked down to." He takes his time while talking with his patients to discover the true causes of their distress. He truly listens to them, is observant, and cares for their overall well being. He is extremely intelligent, professional and knowledgeable regarding many disorders and the best medications to treat them. He also gives many day-to-day suggestions regarding ways to cope with mental illness, not just medications. I live two hours away from his office in Fairmont and will continue to make the trip to see… him for as long as he is there.
