Dr. Stephen Ira Firshein, MD

I was quite anxious about seeing Dr Firshein. Seeing a Hematologist was not in my treatment plan! However, the moment he walked into the office he put my mind at ease. What an amazing doctor he is! I needed his approval for surgery next week, so we discussed my bloodwork, a bit of my history and he gave the okay for surgery. In between this, he was funny, made me feel so comfortable and set my mind at ease! He is a true testament to what a doctor’s visit should be! Although I hope I never need to see him again, I kind of hope I do! I highly recommend Dr. Firshein! Thank you Doctor!

This doctor needs to retire. He screamed at me for freaking out in a voicemail when his office's screw up with my SSI put.me under review. He told me a 41 year old man to grow up and deal with it. You know, just deal with losing my only source of income. Pull myself up by my bootstraps or some such garbage. Just retire before you apathy and disdain harms another one of your patients.

Dr. Firshein and his staff are excellent healthcare providers. He is a caring physician, helps me understand and manage my disease, and somehow finds a way to make me smile. Thank you for all you do Dr. Firshein.

My first appointment with Dr. Firshein was wonderful. The wait time was about 3 minutes before I was taken for necessary blood tests. About another 5 minutes and Dr. Firshein arrived in the exam room. He took his time getting to know me and reviewing my medical history. He is relaxed, friendly and very knowledgeable. I'm happy to be his patient.

Dr. Firschein has been my primary care physician for over 20 years. I have had to deal with several significant illnesses. His guidance and referral to specialists has been excellent. Further treatment by those physicians has resulted in positive results to my overall health. Additionally, he listens!!

Dr Firshein saw me yesterday after he was on vacation last week. Had a clinical issue and he took the time to explain what was going on and made recommendations on next steps as well as eased my concerns.

Dr Firshein is well experienced with Lymphoma and provides excellent diagnosis and course of action. Have seen him for 2 years now and quite happy with his care.
