My Husband Got the Greatest care from Dr. Fisher in 1994 he had Colon Cancer Dr. Fisher had to Reconnect his bowel He took out 3/4 of his Bowel My Husband had to take Chemo for a year and half and was cured with Jesus Guiding Dr. Fishers Hands I was able to spend another 18 Years with my Loving Husband he passed in 2012 from COPD I will forever be great full to Dr. Fisher and The good LORD above for giving me more time with Rick Thank you Dr. Fisher

I mentioned in my first review that my cancer advanced from Stage IIA to IIB. I recently discovered this to be incorrect. It actually advanced from Stage IIA to Stage IIIB because the tumor had grown into my chest wall/skin.

This man has saved my life twice. Excellent Dr. I can't say enough about this wonderful surgeon.

I discovered a lump in my breast last year. My family doctor had an ultrasound done and referred me to Dr. Fisher. He first diagnosed my problem as a bacterial infection. He drained it in the office by poking it open with a needle. He put packing in the incision to keep it open so that it could drain. Three days later he removed the packing. He determined that it was not a bacterial infection; it was actually a cyst. Despite realizing that he had misdiagnosed the problem, he still did not do any further testing of the lump. Ten days later I had a follow-up appointment with him to see how it was healing. He determined that I needed to have an outpatient surgery to have the cyst removed because it wasn't getting better. I don't remember exactly when it started, but by this time, the area surrounding the lump was quite red. Instead of removing the entire â??cystâ?? during the outpatient surgery, he squeezed out a cottage-cheese-like material that he said was a sebaceous cyst. He put… packing in the wound, and removed it five days later. About two weeks later, I thought it was looking infected again, so I called Dr. Fisher's office and spoke to a nurse. He prescribed an antibiotic. A few days later I called to let them know there had been no improvement. I had another appointment with Dr. Fisher. He prescribed a different antibiotic and poked the infection open to drain it. Two days later he removed the packing. A few days later I had another appointment with Dr. Fisher. He said that it wasn't healing the way it should be. He said I needed to have another surgery so that he could remove more of the cyst. I called my family doctor and asked to get a referral to another doctor for a second opinion. The doctor I went to for a second opinion thought the entire thing needed to be removed as soon as possible. I chose to go with this doctor. I had surgery two days after seeing him. After waking up from surgery, I was informed that I had breast cancer. It took me three and a half months to get an accurate diagnosis, and I got the correct diagnosis only because I went to a different doctor. I believe Dr. Stephen Fisher should have ordered a mammogram and MRI, and everything removed from my body should have been biopsied for cancer. Dr. Fisher let the packing stay in my wound for a few days without having it regularly changed. The other doctor had it changed on a daily basis. With the knowledge I have now, I believe it was ridiculously wrong to leave the packing in for so long. That was like asking for an infection. He had done three surgical procedures and was going to do a fourth even though what he had been doing was obviously not working. During the time that I was misdiagnosed, the cancer grew from 3 centimeters to 5.5 centimeters, which means that it advanced from Stage IIA to Stage IIB.

Dr. Fisher is a great surgeon!! He took the time to explain things to me and knew it was time to end my pain from bouts of diverticulitis, he avoided surgery as long as he could and we had hoped would never have to operate but turned out it was best for me and now I feel so much better!!! It's been a week and 2 days since he operated but I can feel the difference between the pain from the incisions and the pain I had before!! I Love his humor and bedside manor and the fact that he just really cares!! It's too early to tell the end of this story as I have not fully healed up yet but I know I feel so much better already!! I gave my trust to this man and he fully deserves a huge Thank you from me!! I fully expect I will get my life back to normal now and that was my goal. If your reading this looking to see if your making the right choice in a surgeon...well you have is all I can say!!

Dr. Fisher is a very nice guy and very easy to talk to; he has a great bedside manner. I think he has a lot of knowledge but schedules too many surgeries and hurries to get done with one to get to another. I've already had 2 family members that had complications after he performed surgery, due to negligence that should have never happened. Sadly, it has affected one of my family members for the rest of his life and he will probably never work again due to his negligence.

A concerned, caring surgeon. Spends the time to answer patent questions and to explain things. Would recommend him to anyone!

Dr Fisher has got to be the best surgeon in the country....excellent in all he does. Very passionate with his patients....thank you so much Dr Fisher!
