Dr. Stephen K Friedkin, MD

I had complainted to this doctor about my kids' coughs. He kept on saying fine without doing any breathing tests. Finally, my kid got an asthma attack. Even that, he told my kid to use asthma medicine only when he wheezes. My kid kept on getting asthma attacks. I went to see several doctors and they told us to give my son asthma medicine when he coughed and sick, not when he wheezed. He could prevent my son from getting asthma attacks or even having asthma if he gave my kid medicine at the very.....beginning and do breathing tests. Now, my son had to lived with asthma. Also, I asked him to refer my kid to an allergy doctor. This doctor's response: Why does he need an allergy doctor? What are you going to do if he is allergy to dust or pollen? He has asthma as it is in his gene.

Dr. Friedkin's medical skills are outstanding. My child developed a life-threatening disease, and Dr. Friedkin had all the next-step arrangements for us made before he talked to me about what might be the cause of the symptoms. My only one small negative observation is that he seems to think I'm not very intelligent (I'm in Mensa, so I'm really not unintelligent) based on his reactions to my questions. Since we've been seeing him for a number of years, I've observed this reaction more than once.

Excellent doctor. he cares for our child. he easily diagnoses the problem.
