Hope it's not true about his retirement

Dr. Halpern was our family's doctor for many, many years. The world needs more doctors like him, he's an old-style "family doctor" who takes the time to get to know you. Dr. Halpern is brilliantly funny, compassionate and caring, and the best doctor we ever had. Doctor Halpern, you are missed.

30 years this man was my doctor and I'm at a loss without him. He made me feel important because he listen to me. I was diagnosed in 2004 with having ADHD because Stephen made me take it seriously my life become manageable and more productive. He did tell me unfortunately after he retired no one in Santa Cruz will treat me for my ADHD and since his retirement my life doesn't seem so important anymore it's kind of chaotic actually, I'm depressed all the time. I will miss him more than he'll ever know, But he deserves retirement he's been working a long time and wish him well. I truly will miss the way you made me laugh and to take life not so serious. But most of all I'll miss being able to ask you about anything because you were the most knowledgeable man I ever met. Have fun golfing friend.

Dr Halpern has been my GP for many years. He really listens. He lets you ask as many questions as you want. You do not feel rushed, and he explains everything really well.

I have known this doctor for years. He is kind, caring, and funny at the same time. Recently lost his wife of 25+ years but still lives his life with zeal and professionalism. Thank you doctor.
