Dr. Stephen Lon Hensley, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Hensley's for 28 years. I would not think about seeing anyone else. He cares about his patients and it shows. He is professional, knowledgeable, kind, and patient. He really makes you feel comfortable in the most uncomfortable of circumstances. A first-class human being.

I need to have surgery and Dr Hensley is supposed to do it. However his office keeps calling me and saying he is taking time off. My surgery has now been cancelled 2x! Starting to get a little P.O.ed!! Where is Dr. Hensley? What is he doing? What is he taking time off for? People are starting to wonder!! People are starting to talk? Does he have a problem that I need to know about?? I think a lot of us are thinking that same thing!

I encountered Doc Hensley in 2011 after 5 years of trying to find a doctor who would treat my daughter and not just write a script pat her on the head and send her out the door. Doc H. came into the room and he was the first doctor in the entire 5 years who sat down and listened to what she actually had to say and treated her as a patient not just a pesky teen who was looking for pain killers. My daughter had to have a Hysterectomy at 21, that's a huge procedure for such a young age but after dealing with her medical issue for so long this was the only outcome that would guarantee her a "normal" life. I thank him and what he did for my daughter and my family. He made the right choice in treating her and I have since made him my OB/GYN. Very caring doctor with a lot of patience to listen and treat the problem not type into a computer when your talking. HE STOPS AND LISTENS !

dr hensley and his staff are top notch!!!

I really like this office because it's easy to get into and the location has a very clean and welcoming vibe. The staff is really nice and accommodating. The first time I went I saw the NP who is no longer there, but she spent a great deal of time getting to know not only my symptoms for what I was going in for but the overall picture of my health in general as well as educating me on different options and preventative measures. Dr. Hensley also seemed very knowledgeable and made sure he knew the problem before prescribing medication. Any time I go any type of doctor (obviously a gynecologist is no exception) I always feel either like they're judging me or really don't care because they're busy and need to get to the next patient, but I've never felt like that here. Dr. Hensley also will call you back himself if you have follow up questions. And they do electronic prescriptions, so that saves time! Last time I needed an appointment I got in the same day at a really good time -… They got me in at lunch time so I didn't have to leave work at an inopportune time. I definitely recommend this office!

Dr Hensley and his staff are the best. Dr Hensley never makes me feel like I am wasting his time with all my questions. The front staff always says "hello and goodbye" and if they are not too busy, we talk about how the kids are.GREAT JOB!!!

The staff is top-notch as well. Lisa, the initial contact person, is VERY competent and friendly. Heather, Dr. Hensley's assistant, couldn't be sweeter and quickly puts you at ease. Kim is also as professional and kind. This is the kind of staff that makes you want to come back just to visit, and what woman can say that about her gynecologist's office?!!!

from the moment i walked through the door, the front staff was kind and smiley. they made my uncomfortable visit a little easier. dr hensley was cheerful and comical to help ease my anxiety. when i left the girls all told me have a nice day. i don't know where the grumpy staff is that the other comments are talking about. i think they are great

Dr. Hensley is wonderful and always makes me feel very comfortable and taken care of. However the ladies that work the front desk could be a little nicer. These visits aren't always a pleasant experience for the patients and they could show a little more compassion.
