If you are looking to be coddled and you can't face the truth, he's not for you. If you are looking to change your life, he is.

I had been seeing Dr. Hermele for three years on a month or every other month basis. I stopped seeing him a few months ago. Although at first I thought he was easy to talk to, inretrospect I don't think he ever understood accurately what my issues were. It seems that he too quickly determined what I was suffering from and too quickly began treating me for something that was off the mark. Each time I tried to take the conversation in a different direction he dismissed my effort. Along the way I took note of his rather archaic attitude towards anything outside of traditional text book medical practice. I feel he needs to be more open to advances in the field of physcharity and changes in society. To me he's a bit stuck in the 1960's and can get hostile if challenged. His demeanor is grumpy to boot. I'm sorry things ended on this note.

Absolutely horrible experience just trying to even get an appointment. The front desk is useless, inconsiderate, and clueless ! They ask for ALL of your medical records and until you get ALL of them to the office they WILL NOT GIVE YOU AN APPOINTMENT. You have to jump through all these hoops to get the medical records it's a nightmare. And best yet they have NO EMAIL for you or any doctor to send the records to. If you are in a crisis or want to have an understanding easy going experience with a psychiatrist this is definitely not the one to go to ! Definitely something wrong with the way this office is ran and definitely something terribly wrong with the nurse and receptionists he has working for him ! Don't bother with them you'll feel worse then how you started !

Dr. Hermele is the master craftsman of Psychiatry ... with a mixture of the wisdom of Solomon, tough love, incredible compassion, he led me from darkness into light and life. There is no better.

I have going to this man since I was a young girl and now as a grown woman. He is very real and very blunt. He doesn't beat around the bush, he tells you exactly what he thinks wether it's good or bad. He has helped me tremendously. He has actually changed my life in a good way. I recommend him 100% but you have to be able to handle the truth :)

Highly recommended. Trained in traditional counseling/psychotherapy-- So you actually get help for your issues in addition to meds. Most Psychiatrists these days just give a script and you have to see a psychologist or counselor to actually discuss your problems. This is a very wise man who is excellent at problem solving and advice. He is absolutely the most valuable Dr. I have ever had and I hope he doesn't retire for a very long time.
