Dr. Stephen David Hess

Not a good experience. Took a biopsy 25 days ago but no results yet. Called about it but no one called me back. Had a question for Dr. and staff said I could email him. I did but never received a response. Might be a good dr but just too hard to deal with.

Dr Hess is the best dermatologist I’ve had in my life. I started seeing a Derma when in 4th grade due to precancerous skin cells. I’ve seen many over the years, but Dr Hess is truly the best!!

I recently reported a complaint to the Better Business Bureau of Metro Washington DC & Eastern Pennsylvania regarding: 1. Although it is mandated by HIPPA, they will not release my Medical Records to me, after 3 requests, nor to a new dermatologist, after 3 requests. 2. A gel called Actnic Keratosis, that had their own label on it, was sold to me at an unknown price. I was instructed to use it after a procedure to remove some type of facial cancer at weeks two through four. I had to stop using it after nine days because the lesion was not healing and was producing green/yellow pus. 3. I could not find the gel on the Internet, nor did the new Dermatologist know what it was. They had Private Labeled some type of gel which is possibly illegal and deceitful. 4. None of their receipts provide a breakdown of what you are paying for whether it is a Co-pay or a product. 5. They sold me a sun tan lotion guaranteed to be better than anything on the market. However, I got badly burnt on my… face and chest after applying it correctly, before being in the sun and an hour after being in the sun. They are refusing to allow me to return it.

Dr Hess is a fantastic physician.I have complete trust in him.He was very thorough in his examas well as being considerate formodesty.

Dr.Stephen Hess is the most caring and considerate Doctor in his field that I've ever met!He made me feel so comfortable and at ease from the first visit I ever had with him.He truly cares about his patients and their understanding of the procedures that he performs.I've recommended him to many friends and family members,and I will continue to do so!
