Dr. Stephen Randall Holzman, MD

Dr Holzman is an amazing doctor. He has been my doctor for over 12 years. I trust him with everything. He has made me feel So much better about certain circumstances in my family. He is concerned and shows empathy. Knows when to adjust medications and how to help me deal with my anxiety. He really listens and comes up with a plan. I see some reviews that describe someone totally different than the doctor I know. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of a kind knowledgeable doctor.

Dr. Holzman has been my psychiatrist for over two decades. I'm a retired physician and a qualified to recognize competency and quality. I would characterize my illness as lifetime major depression with bipolar elements. Dr. Holzman is quite excellent in analyzing symptoms, thoughts, and managing my problem(s). I can't think of anything that he might do otherwise. So stars. I just don't understand why anyone would rate less than, 4 stars. Is it wait-time? Just wait. I've never had any problem with that. Read something. Office staff? They're quite nice. Much nicer than my front office staff ever were. Outer office ambience? It's a shared space. Get over it. Dr.'s insight and responsiveness? He's caught me in my cognitive dissonence. Good job. To those rating him less than 4 stars, stop whining.

I have been a patient of Dr. Holzman's for the last 8 years (ADHD). I have found him to be personable, professional and thorough. My doctor-patient relationship with him is quite different from that with my therapist (PhD Clinical Psychology) but they are very different types of doctors. He is very knowledgeable about pharmacology, and will prescribe up or down as situations change. I trust him.

Dr. H. is very knowledgeable about medicine, but visits to his office usually feel like visiting the principal's office. He is not a very warm person, so I usually feel a little nervous and on the spot when meeting with him.
