Dr. Stephen Honig, MD

Was kept waiting 45 min. I came prepared w/ some notes on a notepad. The doctor entered the office & groaned saying "oh god, what is THAT?!"...never introduced himself...took many vials of blood & had me do a 24 hr urine test....which to date he has never followed up to discuss the results...he decided i needed to start on a medication but never prescribed it and when i researched it at home, i discovered I'm highly allergic to several ingredients. stood behind me & had me bend over squeezing my waist with no explanation as to what the purpose of that was...measured my height which i pointed out was very different to the height i have been for many years to which his answer was that he has no idea if i knew what I was talking about. His office has art and diplomas that have been damaged, water logged and are crinkled in their frames...an odd lack of attention to how that looks to patients. Lastly, he was so gruff & miserable, i asked if he liked his job. He shrugged. GO ELSEWHERE!

He is a dangerous doctor, he did not took care of my osteoporosis, he actually not treated me, and because of that I'm have a broken bone that would not heal, do not see this doctor. no star..... very dangerous doctor.

I would not recommend him to anyone. He is neglectful and doesn't call back. He has basically sabaotoaged my treatment by not following through with blood tests and bone density testing telling me to go to my regular doctor. I thought he was my doctor. What a fake with a big title and a pompous attitude.

One gets the distinct impression that Dr. Honig, while superficially affable and courteous, frankly is not terribly interested in his patients or his practice...perhaps an occupational hazard after 40 years.There is something missing...perhaps he's bored or been at it too long...or never really wanted to be a doctor.He would not be the doctor of choice for any patient that needs serious, involved doctoring.

He is my favorite doctor. Good listener and very knowledgeable. So glad he is on my health team!

Top notch doctor who has treated me for over twenty years. Not only is Dr. Honig an excellent rheumatologist, he is an excellent overall physician whose knowledge far expands beyond his specialty. Would recommend for any joint pain. Also treated two of my other family members with equally good results.
