Dr. Stephen Brent Horsley, MD

Hospitalitalized 6 weeks total due to major complications from gallbladder removal, My bile duct was nicked during surgery causing acid like bile in pockets of my abdomen for weeks. Incredibly painful for so long. Him and his partner kept just wanting me to get discharged and didnt acknowledge what had been done except one morning Dr Horsely said possibly my bile duct was nicked, you think?Completely changed my life due to constant medical issues 6 years later. Went from a very active life to almost daily heath issues preventing me from working, going to many things and stuck at home a lot of the time. There is little recourse in Nevada for Drs who make mistakes, unless you die. I'll never be the same. I'm not the only one who he's made major mistakes with. I've been to over 30 Drs trying to get my life back. Have had some small success but now I'm told I need to go out of state to Cleveland Clinic, Mayo, UCLA, etc if I'm ever to get more of my life back. Don't do it with him or his… jerk partner who tried to get me released from the hospital weeks before I actually went home. They stopped coming to see me after that fiasco even though I was still hospitalized in massive pain. Proceed with caution, better yet go to a different ER if you can, if he or his partner Dr Rayls are on call

Dr. Horsley did emergency surgery on an early Sunday morning. He was fantastic. Explained everything to me very well. He was kind and compassionate. Made me feel very comfortable with the entire procedure. And he must have a very gentle hand as my recovery time was super fast!

I met Dr. Horsley at Centenial hills hospital. His first visit to me was to let me know my next steps towards healing. His style is straight forward without any candy coating. Just the way I like it. While I was tentative about what was next for me Dr. Horsley told me what to expect. He is an excellent communicator and didn't beat around the bush. I know what his opinion is and in this case all the medical doctors involved concurred with his opinion. Including my family Dr. While Dr. Horsley has not done any procedures on me yet I am confident he will give me great care when that time comes. My follow up review will be after any procedures are completed. I am quite optimistic with my choice of Dr. Horsley.

Could have signed me out of hospital hours ago. No after surgery consultation.

Dr. Horsley is currently taking care of my dad. He is very kind and patient with my dad and takes his time to explain procedures and/or questions that we may have. When my dad first met him, he was very comfortable with the doctor, noting that the doctor always has a smile on his face. Compassion is such a big part of patient healing, and we are so lucky to have found Dr. Horsley! Thank you so much!

No instructions where given, Poor communication in fact none. Left me in the dark.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Horsley. He operated on my husband recently, and did a fabulous job. He spent as much time as we needed before surgery and the surgery was a complete success.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Horsley!! I unfortunately had to have 2 surgeries within 3 months of each other, and I requested him by name the second time because my first experience with him was amazing. He really took his time talking with me, explaining the procedure, what to expect, etc. He is really easy to talk to and does not make you feel stupid or like you are bothering him if you have a lot of questions. He spent nearly 45 minutes with me talking about the pros and cons of the procedure I needed and did not make me feel like he was saying I needed surgery just for the sake of having surgery. He is caring, thorough, has a fantastic bedside manner and really put me at ease. His nurses and staff are amazing as well. I had no complications or problems. He even was accessible by phone the night of my surgery when I had questions about whether certain things I was feeling were normal. HE IS AMAZING AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM...and this is coming from someone who has met… many doctors and liked very few :)
