Dr. Stephen Anthony Humbard, MD

Do not see Dr. humbard if you have Tricare prime and require referrals for specialty appointments. He will require you to make an appointment and be seen before sending out any referrals. For example, I saw him about two months ago because I was a new patient and needed and ophthalmology referral since I am Type 1 diabetic. Totally understand needing to be seen as I was a new patient. However, I called today to get a referral for a yearly woman's check up and he was going to require me to make an appointment and be seen before giving a referral for a yearly woman's check up. I asked what the appointment would even include as there is nothing wrong with me and he is not an gynecologist and he just said Tricare requires you to be seen before I can send out any referrals. We'll I called Tricare and they said that is not true; they do not require an appointment to proceed all referrals. It is obvious that they are simply out to make a buck and don't truly care about their patients or their… time. Also, the office staff was rude and dismissive when trying to speak with them on the phone.

Dr Humbard is one of the most caring, understanding and compassionate doctor that I've been to in a very long time. He takes time with each of his patient, he listens to us and you can see the care and his eyes His staff very prompt and compassionate about their job and patients. So, if you're looking for one of the top notch family doctors in Little Rock, I would highly recommend that you go see Dr. Steven Humbard. His office is located off Chenal and very easy to find. It takes a lot for me to trust a doctor and this is one doctor that I know I can fully trust.

Dr. Humbard is the best of the best. He is caring, compassionate, doesn't rush to conclusions, knowledgeable and very professional. I would recommend him without a single hesitation. His office staff has the same qualities.

I appreciate that Dr. Humbard listened to me and my thoughts and didn't look at me or talk to me like an idiot. I hate when doctors don't listen to me or look at me like I don't have a clue, when I know my body and something isn't right. He was quick, understanding and informative.

I can almost always get in to see Dr. Humbard the day I need to. I have sent all my friends and co-workers to see him. He listens to you has a wonderful personality and over all a great experience.

Helped me with some off balance issus I had this summer. I probably saw him once a week for 6 weeks.

Attentive, genuinely intersted in ME and MY health issues, history, etc. Wonderful bedside manner. Did not act as if he had all the answers but promised as a team, we would find the answers we are looking for.

He is very responsive and listens to me.
