Dr. Stephen Janecek, MD

We have been with Dr. Janecek for over 12 years. He is usually on time listens and actually cares. He has never rushed us during a visit. His office staff and assistant are very nice and there is little to no turn over of employees so they know who we are and what’s going on. We never have to restart our health issues over as they document everything throughly! Office is very nice clean and organized. Thank you all for being there for our health needs!!!

Dr. Janecek is very nice. Unfortunately, he is not a good doctor. In 1999, I went to his office with a rash, he asked me if I had been bit by an insect, I told him that I did not felt anything bite me. He looked at my rash and He said "well , I don't think it is Lyme disease beacause there is no Lyme disease in Texas". Fast forward 15 years later, several neurological symptoms, several in-state and out of state neurologists, rheumatologist, cardiologist, endocronologists, etc... Positive test for Lyme Disease. Now, I have to take a series of long term antibiotics and see if I can get well again. Unfortunately, I have given this disease to my children in utero and also to my husband. My family and I have a long way to recovery and are in so much debt. If Dr. janecek would have diagnosed me correctly 15 years ago and would have given me antibiotics instead of a steroid shot my family and I would not been suffering right now. My question is why did he even mention Lyme Disease?… If he had a doubt about what it was, why did he not treat me.

Dr Janecek may be an excellent MD for those with uncomplicated issues and insurance but my family member has had nothing but minimal care and degrading treatment from him. It was bad when he was independant and even worse now that he is affiliated with the "big guys". He has mislead her about medications. Requested testing which he knows she can not afford with no insite into where or how to get it done, and even yelling at her when she calls him after routine hours with what she precives as major issues with her health. He has told her he can not treat her until he gets a realse and information from an ER visit when all other MD's in his group just get it off line and states he knows nothing about condition when he has been personally handed information from other providers of care (post ER hospital stays). Not everyone who can not afford insurance will qualify for government assistance and it is MD's like this that continue to drive care up.

i am an RN. I have been going to Doctor janecek for 18 years now. since my daughter was 6 months old. he is very caring. i trust him. My daughter would not see anyone else.

Dr. Janaecek is a very charming and capable doctor. His diagnosis is usually right on target. It isn't hard to get an appointment with him and if you need a referral to a specialist he is quick to do it.
