Dr. Stephen Read Johnson

This is not the right doctor or at least the picture is not correct. This doctor does not work in Kaiser or LA and is not a pediatric ophthalmologist

After reading the other review I was wondering if this could be the same doctor. Our child was critical when we were transfered to sunset. We had problems when transferred to the pediatric side but never any that were the Picu side. We did but heads with doctor Johnson a couple of times but he was honest and honestly listened to our concerns. No doctor is perfect and some patients don't fit some doctors but I believe he and his staff realize most of the patients there need specialized care and they provide it well. We practically lived in the Picu at times and are glad it was there. Residents can scary as they were on the pediatric side but we felt confident in the care under doctor Johnson.

I have been a KAISER member since 1993 and been thru few different PICUs with my son. Have to say Dr. Johnson made my decision to change KAISER a easy one. He is not responsive to parents questions nor he know how to talk to parents. He runs PICU like a military camp as I saw fear in Nurses eyes which I did not see at other KAISER PICUs. He should be left alone in a reserach facility. His discharge planner Janet Thoamas as equally horrible. Together they rule PICU and give KAISER a worst wrap. No wonder Kaiser Sunset PICU is sued the most. Get this doctor out to a lab please.
