Steve C. Kearns, MD, loves the variety of patients and medical conditions he encounters as a pediatric provider. He enjoys watching his youngest patients grow to be college students and all the steps in between. Dr. Kearns was a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society at Wake Forest University. While Dr. Kearns enjoys most aspects of pediatrics he especially likes pediatric sports medicine and working with young athletes to help them prevent injuries. Married for more than 10 years, Dr. Kearns and his wife have three children. They love staying active with the kids, playing sports, hiking, and kayaking.

Our family has seen Dr. Kearns three or four times over the past few years; he is a true pleasure to work with. Our elementary and middle school kids enjoy his caring, patient, and fun nature. He's attentive and great at listening to our kids and me and takes his time to connect. He's also responsive through the online email service and has been helpful to arrange a needed specialist in one case, being truly interested in keeping up-to-date on the child's progress. It's been wonderful to have him as a pediatrician.
