Dr. Stephen Douglas Kennedy, DO

He gave my child anti-depressants. Told us to call if the meds aren't working. We gave it 3 weeks to work, but child was getting worse. We called, and they didn't even call back until the next day. (Apparently, it's custom to not return phone messages for 24 to 48 hours!) He prescribed more meds without ever talking to us. Still doing poorly, we call back. He added a third medication. When we went to pick it up, pharmacy had no prescription! Of course it was now after hours on a Friday, so I guess we now wait until Monday to let him know he never ordered the medication. Totally unacceptable!

My husband an I were patients of Dr. Kennedys and we will never go back. It is nothing against him personally bc he is a likeable guy and a decent doctor, but his staff is the most unprofessional and rude staff that i have ever met. I am a nurse myself and the way i was treated by his nurse was mind blowing to me. We were paying patients (cash money in full i might add) and i was yelled at and my husband was talked to innapropriatly. I sat in the room for an hour and 15 minutes on my work "lunch break" to see the doctor for 15 minutes and pay 90 dollars. None of that compares to the rudeness of that specific nurse. There are three other women where i work that are former patients of Dr. Kennedy and no longer go back because of the rudeness of the staff. I would never recommend that office.

Dr Kennedy knows his stuff. He has diagnosed several problems and treated them appropriately. I enjoy his bedside manner, he loves humor! Almost all of his patients have followed him through 3 office locations as we really think he is worth it. The only drawback is the office wait- although it is understandable as he is the only physician in his office. He works hard since he is on his own.

Was having problems breathing.weezing etc. Asthma, went to see him. was very sick. I begged him to put me in hosp. was feeling that sick. told me he wouldn't put me in hosp cause he already put someone in that day.And I over heard him tell someone he was going on vacation the next day. Had an appointment with my neuroligist that day also and he said go to ER cause I was too sick that he couldn't even examine me. I went and was hosp. for 8 days with double pneumonia And I also had a bleeding ulcer that I didn't know I had until I threw up blood and passed out. Ended up in the ICU for 3 of those days. Was told I had 5 rips in my stomach. The MS Dr said he couldn't even examine me cause I was so ill. And I was!!!
