What I DoI strive to deliver comprehensive care that reflects the needs, values and choices of my patients, using the latest therapies to improve their quality and duration of life. I am always open to my patients’ perspectives about their care and believe we can learn a lot from one another. My clinical interests are complex coronary artery disease including chronic total occlusion (CTO) and complex aortic, mitral and tricuspid valve repair and replacement.Why I Love My WorkI grew up in a small town in Wisconsin where my father was a family practice physician, and I always admired the positive impact he had on so many in the community. Cardiology allows me to develop lifelong relationships with patients and help them to achieve their health goals. I greatly enjoy identifying a possible life-threatening condition, finding the least invasive but best possible therapy to get my patients back to living their best lives as fast as possible.I joined CentraCare because it is a …nationally recognized cardiovascular care center in the Midwest.Getting to Know MeOutside of work, I enjoy biking on road and mountain trails, skiing, scuba diving, watching all Wisconsin sports (go Packers!) and working in the backyard. I am happiest when outdoors, being active with my family. An interesting fact about me is that my mother’s family name is Foster. I am named after Stephen Foster, composer of “Camptown Races.”
