He takes time to thoroughly explain condition, treatment plan and prognosis, as well as, answer all questions.

Twice I have gone there for an appointment only to be turned away because my referral has expired. Maybe it is my responsibility to check if my referral is expired, but when they call to give you the appointment reminder, can they not give a generic sentence saying if your insurance requires a referral, please be sure it has not expired or our office will not be able to see you? I have enough to do as it is on a daily basis, much less take off work early for an appointment and not be able to be seen. Give me a break!

This seems like a competent doctor, but everything about the practice seems to be focused on the money. There are signs everywhere about fees in the waiting room. They collect some fees before you're even seen, but oddest of all to me is that they insisted I pay the charges in full before I left the office, assuring me that they would file the insurance later and reimburse me if I'd overpaid. I got the distinct feeling that this practice is all about the profit.

Dr. Kondash is a great eye doctor. He explains your symptoms in a way that you understand. He doesn't rush through the appoinment and will be upfront and honest with you about your symptoms. He even came in on Saturday to see my husband for an issue. My parents also went to him and he discovered that my dad had another issue where he needed to see his dr. He was very professional about it and he told my dad to go see his doctor and even called his doctor with a 'heads up' on what he saw. It turned out my dad had leukemia. If it hadn't been for Dr. Kondash, my dad would not have gone to the dr and get the treatment he needed. I wouldn't trust my eyes to anyone but Dr. Kondash.
