Dr. Stephen Jeffrey Kornfeld, MD

Dr. Kornfeld is extremely thorough. He carefully gathers all the signs and symptoms of a patient's complex illness and does not stop until he has an accurate diagnosis. His staff is warm, friendly and supportive.

I had been living in Florida for about a year and developed horrible allergies. I finally had insurance coverage and was so happy to be able to see the doctor. When I finally got to meet him he looked at me and told me I had GERD, not allergies and I needed to lose weight, and he reccomended GERD medication. I insisted on allergy tests because my symptoms were way worse at certain times of the day and not related to what I ate. I got the tests done and it turns out I am allergic to most trees, grasses, weeds, molds, dust mites and cockroaches! He was abrupt and rude and took no interest in my situation and I left there crying. The nurses are very nice and compassionate though, and they have good hours.

Office is very understaffed. Expect long wait times. Allergy shots can take over an hour, an appointment expect to wait up to 45 minutes.

I waited an hour and 15 minutes before i saw the doctor. My son is 5 months old and he was screaming the enitre time because he was board and teething. No one made me aware of a delay. Not only that but when the doctor finally came in he stayed for about 5 minutes and told me what i already knew. When i complained a staff member seemed aggrivated to hear the complaint. i have never been to a worse doctors office. so unprofessional. I will not return for a visit with my son. the doctor didnt even look at my sons rash! made me feel unimportant.

Since 1991, Dr. Kornfeld has helped me to better control my allergies & asthma. Instead of taking antihistamines, the monthly shots control my allergies - and I have many! He and his staff monitor my reactions, and I know that I am receiving the best care possible. When I first saw Dr. Kornfeld, I took more medications than I do now, and I don't miss them a bit! Dr. Kornfeld encourages me to be a proactive patient, & as such, I have avoided a full blown asthma attack since I started seeing him. I have been sick during these 19 years in his care; school teachers are exposed to many viruses! As his patient, I attribute my speedy recovery to his perceptive diagnoses & proper medicinal treatment. I know that there are other competent, professional, intelligent doctors out there, properly caring for their asthmatic and allergic patients. For me, there is only one who I will see, and that is Dr. Kornfeld. I highly recommend seeing him if you are plagued by allergies or if you are… asthmatic, especially if you are dissatisfied with your current physician.

Dr Kornfeld and his office opened early one morning to see me as a new patient - I was in bad shape. Nearly a year later I am doing much better w/my allergies. Highly recommend Dr Kornfeld - easy to talk to and listens to you.

This man is wonderful.I'm an RN with mult health problems. I have been verbally abused by a # of MDs (who are intimidated by a knowledgeable pt.) I dreaded seeing yet another specialist Dr Kornfeld reviewed my med records before setting an appt, so he could allow adeq time for my difficult case. He was very kind and supportive.I am very impressed with the whole office.
