Dr. Stephen Craig Kurtz, MD

Dr. Kurtz prescribed a new medicine, but didn’t do any follow up. The dose was for less than the recommded amount. He said to do the follow up with t primary care. This is about somebody’s heart. As a heart doctor, you would think he should at least follow through until a maintenance dose is reached sinceheart health is so important. He also refused to write an appeal to the insurance company to cover the name brand medication even though the generics cause intolerable side effects. He said he didn’t think it was necessary and the generic is the same medication. He seemed bothered that an appointment was made and that it was unnecessary. HUGE THUMBS DOWN.

I have been a patient of Dr Kurts since Jan. 1991 and I think he is an excellent doctor. He performed openheart surgery and did a triple bypass and installed a mechanical heart valve. I have nothing but praise for this man. he saved my life and 24+ years of quality life.

I liked him.
