Dr. Stephen Francis Lex, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Lex for over 21 yrs. I had a genetic reaction to MENTOR SILICONE BREAST IMPLANTS in 1990. Dr. Lex MD removed them in 1994 and then reconstructed using my own tissue. A very expensive, long recovery surgery. He left surgical metal clips in my body. Now.. Fast forward to 2014. I was sent back to him for reconstruction after a nose biopsy. He checked nose scarring, breast scarring and belly botton scarring. I provided him with additional health information, genetic reports, drug reaction reports. He injected Restylane L. I had an immediate genetic reaction. Pain Swelling. I called the office on 3 occasions to get help for the symptoms. The office does not have knowledge of adverse reactions to derma fillers. They do not have protocol in the office for adverse reactions. This has caused me dangerous and serious health conditions. I am sadly disappointed with my care

we went to Dr. lex for liposuction and what a mistake it was . The areas that he claimed to be finished looked worst than before liposuction , so we cancelled the touch up for other areas and seek help somewhere else . i would not go to Dr.lex if my life deepened on it .

With only 2 Plastic surgeon's in town the options are limited. Dr. Lex is a talented and experienced plastic surgeon. I was disappointed with his follow up and attention to my discomfort. He's not terribly communicative or personable. But I'm pleased with the outcome of my surgery.

Dr Lex didn't listen to my concerns very well. He acted like I couldn't possibly know anything I was talking about. When voicing certain concerns I would get generalized answers that felt more like excuses. When the results were far from what I was originally told they would be and errors were made during surgery, he denied any personal responsibility whatsoever.

Dr. Lex is an exceptional plastic surgeon. He is courteous but not really personable. But his surgical skills and assessment are outstanding. I highly recommend him for plastic surgery.
