Steve was born in Chicago, IL. The son of a police officer and a medical transcriptionist, he is the youngest of five children. He attended Knox College in Galesburg, IL for his undergraduate degree and the University of Illinois for his medical degree. He completed his residency training in combined internal medicine and pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After residency, he served as Chief Resident for the med-peds residency and will continue to be involved in academic medicine as Associate Program Director for the residency. Steve and his wife, a historian, have one son, one daughter, and one dog. In his spare time, he loves reading, traveling, watching old movies and running. Given that Milwaukee is his adopted home, he frequently attends Brewers game and is a true Crew fan, though his first team will always be his beloved Chicago White Sox.My goal is to work with each patient to develop an individualized plan for lifelong health and well-being. This plan should be …evidence-based and effective, but also personalized to allow the patient the freedom to enjoy life as she or he chooses.

Even though I am an employee of FMLH, Dr Malcom is one of the only reason I continue to stay a patient here. He is empathetic and will advocate on behalf of anyone and everyone who needs assistance. He goes above and beyond whenever possible. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. He is an amazing provider, both with his manner and intelligence.

Dr. Malcolm is a very kind and compassionate doctor. He always talks with my daughter and gets her to respond when she does not like talking to adults. He listens to her complaints as well as my thoughts as to what is going on. He then tells me of the possibilities as to what is going on as well as what he thinks is the actual cause and why he thinks it. He is open to what parents think and then explains why it might or might not be what is wrong. He is not afraid to send the patient to a specialist when it is beyond his expertise. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Malcolm as my daughters pediatrician. My daughter likes going to see Dr. Malcolm except for when she is going to get a shot. I am very happy with the care my daughter has received.
