Dr. Stephen Edward Martiny, MD

Dr. Martiny is incredible. Not only has he taken great care of my health, but also listens to my concerns and does research for the best possible options for my care. That is why it takes a little longer to get answers on test results. He is researching the best possible option. I'll take that anyday. It’s rare to find a doctor that combines such personal touches and care for their patient! I highly recommend Dr. Martiny!

Look elsewhere and stay away!

I had my physical with Dr. Martiny and we discussed my prescriptions in detail, among other things. A couple of months later I ran out of blood pressure medication and I called the office for a prescription. They refused to give it to me and demanded that I make an appointment to see the doctor so he could check if "the medication I was taking was the right one". So I guess he forgot or his office doesn't keep medical records? No. What they obviously want to do is to milk payers for money, scheduling unnecessary appointments. Never again.

Getting through to a staff member is a nightmare. No one answers the phone and getting through in impossible. No one call you back. Getting a perscription refilled seems to be a major feat. Great guy but not organized.

I would not go to another doctor! If Dr. Martiny moves....I move as well. Great doctor! Lisa Youngblood

He was very good, I will use him as my primary Doctor

After going to women Dr.s and Nurse practitioners for years, I decided to give Dr. Martin a try since he had availability during my lunch break. It's freshening to have a doctor who listens. All the women I previously went to questioned everything. When asking for a script for a condition a previous specislist diagnosed, Dr Martiny didn't act like Sherlock Homes to figure out if I needed it. He wrote the script without 20 questions. He's also the first doc to actually act on my high cholesterol. The women were afraid to prescribe Lipitor.

Dr. Martiny was the first doctor I went to see when I got my new insurance. I went of course with my “questions for the doctor “ mandatory list ( per my mother). When he came into the room- I immediately noticed how polite and gracious he was. He sat in front me making eye contact and started asking me questions.... my questions I had ready!! He wanted to know not only about ALL my past issues, but about me; where I worked, my puppy, Jesse, my hobbies,etc. I thought “ he is not just my new primary doctor, he is now my friend “! He ran every test he thought I needed and knew when to send me to the hospital where they found artery blockage in my heart. Dr. Martiny knows what he is doing! He also talks and treats his patients like people that he has known forever. His patients are not just a file- but human beings! His staff is made up of the sweetest people I have ever met. I am still amazed each time I go. If Dr. Martiny is not your doctor- you are truly missing one of Forsyth’s… finest! I will follow him wherever he goes! I actually love going to my check ups.... now who do you know that can say that? Thank you Dr. Martiny and all your staff for taking care of me!???? Lisa Youngblood

Just what I have been looking for! Great Doctor, very knowledgeable and down to earth. I would refer him to anyone who is looking for a WONDERFUL doctor. Staff is GREAT too!
