My 2 daughters both had their FIRST set of braces put on by McKenna. Yes FIRST set. They were both over 14 years old when they were put on and one had them on for 14 months, the other for 3 years+. The first daugher obviously needed braces and after 3 years, her teeth were NOT STRAIGHT when the braces were removed. He continued to try to straighten them with the retainer, but no, they continued to get worse over time. At the age of 18, just 18 months after her braces were off and she wore her retainer diligently each day, we consulted with another orthodontist that told us her bite was off and her teeth would never be straight because they were constantly trying to align up the bite. Back into braces. The second daughter had straight teeth, but had jaw pain. McKenna told us he could fix that with braces. 14 months later, no difference. Braces off, retainer on. She then had to have her wisdom teeth pulled and the oral surgeon took one look in her mouth and told us she needed… surgery and showed us the xrays of the damage done to the joint. NO BRACES could have fixed that. She had her second set of braces put on for the surgery to reset her jaw. We felt totally scammed by this orthodontist. Paid him for everything timely, but he never seemed to have time to return our calls nor did he show any concern about not doing what he had been paid to do. Don't make the same costly and painful mistake we did.
