Dr. Stephen Brian Mckinnon, DO

I walked in to Silverdale ER on a Thursday. 3 days before I had been to Gig Harbor ER via ambulance (abdomen pain 10/10 couldn’t walk or talk. I was crying and moaning in pain). Thursday in Silverdale Dr McKinnon treated me. He listened to me. He took me seriously (I knew something was wrong) even when my husband asked if I really needed to be there bc my pain was only 5/5. I was able to walk in and could speak. However, I didn’t eat or drink for several hours and couldn’t keep down the small meal I had eaten in between the 2 ER visits. He ordered tests that Gig Harbor didn’t. He consulted with my Gastric Dr. (I did have surgery scheduled in a few weeks for a Hiatal Hernia and that was told to Gig Harbor ER) and admitted me for surgery the following day. My stomach had twisted, flipped upside down and was pressing on my lung. I believe it happed the Mon I went to Gig Harbor in excruciating pain. They didn’t run the same tests Dr McKinnon did. Thank goodness for Dr McKinnon!!!!!!!!

My elderly mother was taken to Harrison medical center via ambulance. ( wish I could review the awesome response and paramedics as well) Dr mckinnon was in the room before the fd even left. He held her hand as he examined her. Ordered a battery of tests and meds to help her pain. He talked to us and her with complete respect and compassion. She was just released after 6 days and is doing very well. Thank you Dr as well as the rest of the staff
