Dr. Stephen Joseph Miniat, MD

Dr. Miniat has been very thorough and caring with every appointment my husband & I have had with his office. His staff has been very courteous & we feel very fortunate to be in his care. We highly recommend Dr. Miniat as your family care doctor!

He is wonderful at meeting with patients one on one and making you feel like a team member in your own health.

Dr. Miniat inherited a caseload of patients from Dr. Darrell Pugh. His office did not notify his patients of this change. When patient's called requesting refills of their prescriptions he refused to fill their prescriptions until he had an office visit with them, cutting his patients off their medication cold turkey. Many patients were forced to wait several months to see him, and I was one of those patients. He then referred me to pain management without advising me prior to his referral that he would do this. Next, he gave reason that I was prescribed both tramadol and hydrocodone and therefore determined that I needed to be in pain management because I was on two controlled substances. He and his office failed to exam my medication history in determining this as I was prescribed hydrocodone ONE TIME after undergoing right knee surgery. This mistake has caused me much stress, grief, anguish, time, and work hours lost. His nurse is also very rude and makes unprofessional comments… and judgments about his patients.
