Dr. Stephen Salvatore Misuraca, PhD

saw him for 6 years (2015-2021) and in the beginning he was actually really great. bu after covid hit in 2020 and we had to start doing phone sessions things went downhill quickly. it was like he was bored and wanted to talk about things he wanted to talk about (example: i would want to talk about school and he would cut me off and tell me he'd rather talk about work). he also seemed to catch an attitude really quickly and even scolded me for expressing suicidal ideation during a session, saying it was an "easy way out". I ended up having my friend call for me to drop him bc I didn't feel like having an argument with him. i actually went back to him for one session in late 2021/early 2022 but i realized quickly that he was still acting poorly and even said "i knew you'd be back, you need me" which really rubbed me the wrong way. just recently i had to get a letter from him expressing that i was a patient of his and he started off the letter by calling me attractive. I think in the… beginning he really cared and was really helpful but idk if it's age or covid policies or what that made him act up. I definitely wouldn't recommend him at this point.

I personally really love him as a therapist but I can see where people don't like him. He can come off as cold and standoffish but after a while he really grows on you and he bonds with you. He's a better therapist if you just need someone to talk to about everyday things rather than a specific problem in your life. I've been going to him for over a year and I couldn't imagine switching therapists. He isn't for everyone but I do highly recommend him.

The most miserable, monotone man I have ever met. Also he is rumored to be having sexual relations with one of his clients. Not trustworthy.

Ridiculous, detached individual with zero personality skills. Needs serious psychiatric help himself...
