Great Appointment

Dr. Monteith was great. He treated me with dignity and listened to the questions and concerns I had while providing feedback in a language I could understand. He respected my knowledge of the conditions I have while explaining what he knew about them and his experience with them. While explaining his recommendation of a very scary necessary surgery he took the time to put me at ease about it. My first impression of him is he is a very experienced surgeon and seems to actually care about the patient and the patients care and concerns. His team from reception thru others all were very kind to me and my family as well. I'm glad it is him that will be doing this surgery.

My experience is very positive. However, it is difficult to get an appointment when it is needed. There is almost always a significant wait time. I appreciate Dr. Monteith and his commitment to my care.

I met Dr. Monteith after a 3 day hospital stay. I was referred to him because of a brain tumor that had just been found. Dr. Monteith was very kind, friendly and patient with all of my questions. He did not rush out of the room to see the next patient. He answered all of my questions with the information that I would need to make an informed decision about my tumor and treatment with up to the minute medical guidance. Dr. Monteith assured me of his abilities in shrinking a tumor like mine, and also about the state of the art technology at Swedish. In all, Dr. Monteith put me at ease (as much as possible) about my care and his treatment for my situation. I chose Dr. Monteith to be my doctor over other Neurosurgeons partially due to his likability and his reputation as a top Neurosurgeon In the Seattle area.

Very good experience with everyone on staff. I felt they listened, cared and communicated well. Very attentive.

I appreciate this provider has accepted me as his patient. I have experienced bad doctors in the past and I don't need that. I hope to hear him say that I don't need to be seen so.frequently which will be a sign that my health has improved a lot.

Although I said no thanks to the previous question the care team for Dr Monteith and Dr Monteith himself provided excellent care so far. I answered in another question on this. :-)
