Dr. Stephen Alan Novick, MD

My mother has been seeing this MD for many years routinely & had been getting a clean bill of heart health. She started having difficulty breathing to a point that it was debilitating- we thought it was her asthma, saw several pulmonary MDs- who saw nothing. She returned to him stated she felt like she needed 'water pills' for swelling in her ankles, he did not prescribe them, nor look into possibilities that may be causing that. Thankfully she went to a different MD & it turned out the problem was her heart & not her lungs! She was 60-90% blocked in her coronary arteries, needed immediate stents placed last month & now possibly needing a quadruple bypass! If left in his hands alone, my mother would be dead. I do not recommend this MD at all. Would give him zero stars if possible. He needs to retire.

A physician of great wisdom, learning, and compassion. He always treats his patients as human beings, and combines deep knowledge of his field with a true appreciation of the context in which infirmities present themselves. He never condescends, and displays extraordinary patience. Unlike some in the field, he has the good sense neither to over-treat, nor to under-treat. His staff is likewise above reproach--which I have often found to be a sound indication of the quality of the physician in question.

i think this dr stinks and he does not know what he is doing 43 years it says he has been taking care of people he should have to go back and take his medical exam again
