Dr. Stephen Nuccion, MD

Dr Nuccion is very good at listening to his patients and proving information on the injury and treatment options. You never feel rushed. He's a great orthopedic doctor.

Dr.Nuccion has been my orthopedist for 10 years. Through no fault of his own and a series of bad luck he’s done multiple surgeries on my shoulder. He’s bed side manner is awesome, he is a caring and competent surgeon, never have I felt rushed. He listens, answers my questions and returns my phone calls. He’s also not afraid to refer out of your issue is unrelated to his speciality.

You have to keep calling them to update your disability. They say they forgot. People have bills to pay. But Dr nuccion is great

I went to my appt. the nurses said X-ray first. I have a sprained shoulder. I need an mri and pt. Not an X-ray. I am breastfeeding and have a history of breast cancer in my family and don’t want undue radiation. I asked to speak w him first. The nurse came back and said he won’t talk to me without an X-ray. I asked to speak to him again. Pleaded to express me story, how my shoulder feels, how I hurt it. Please let me talk to him. I was told no. This is not someone I would entrust to surgery or any help. I was told he only comes in the room once. And he wants an X-ray. I walked out. Not cool. Not human in my book. I need ed 3 minutes of his time to explain what I needed. Poor review. Never have written a review of anything before in my life. Had to w this situation

He is a patient's Dr. Listens, asks questions, and then gives recommendations. Great bedside manners.

I would absolutely avoid Dr. Stephan Nuccion A surgery he did on my 14 year old daughter permanently damaged her growth plate. He also attached an allograft in an incorrect location. My poor sweet kid had to have another surgery and the damage done to her growth plate may affect her for the rest of her life. She may need many more surgeries due to this man. On top of that, when I confronted Nuccion with what I had discovered, he made up a story that was not in the operation report. He also kept saying everything was going to be fine when other Doctors said the opposite. He crams too much in on surgery days which opens the door to horrible mistakes. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a doctor.

This doctor is what every doctor should be. He is as caring as he is professional. I had my first surgery with him in 2004 and again in 2006. Here it is 2016 and he is the same caring, professional and patient doctor as he ever. He listens and explains in detail every step of the way. He talks with family and always has his staff if not himself get back to you. I just called his office the day after my surgery and received a call back in 30 minutes. This doctor did knee and shoulder surgeries for me and is the best in the South Bay. He also did my son's shoulder surgery and it went fantastic. Highly recommend with smiles.

Good doctor - willing to spend time answering questions.

Was injured at work and went to Dr. Nuccion after he was recommended by my normal doctor. Told him I was injured at work and it didn't seem to be a problem. Went through surgery (which was a success) and started physical therapy. He was very nice up and until the claim went to workmans comp. once he found out he had to fill out the report to finish the claim, he dropped me as a patient. I had to find another doctor to finish off the workmans comp report. Never again. The physical therapy portion of the business is top notch, not Dr. Nuccion. Be warned !

I have now had 5 knee surgeries with Dr. Nuccion. He is the best. This doctor called me from his home phone around 8:00PM the night before my first major surgery to ask if I had any questions or concerns. Now what doctor would do that or care this much that you're comfortable? He is always plesant to work with and I believe he cares and he is not just about the money. He even did my 2nd major knee surgery on Christmas Eve 3 years ago and it was a scheduled surgery not an emergency surgery. I would recommend this doctor to all.
