Summary
Dr. Stephen Ostwald earned his dental degree from Northwestern University Dental School in 1981 and then returned to his home in the Bay Area to complete the prestigious two year General Practice Residency at Mt. Zion Hospital in San Francisco. During his residency he became interested in the treatment of dental anxiety.  He partnered in developing protocols for the treatment of dental fear.  After leaving the hospital in 1989, Dr. Ostwald started"A People Oriented Dental Practice" on the  premise that any patient seeking treatment might have some issues surrounding their dental care.  Dr. Ostwald believes in spending time developing the trusting relationships with his patients so crucial to successful treatment.
