Dr. Stephen William Parker, MD

Dr Stephen Parker did help me by giving me a diagnosis for my debilitating condition. He then gave me a prescription for vestibular rehabilitation. I couldn’t go right away because of other tragedies occurring in my life. I live very far away from MGH. When my husband and I returned to him just for a new signature, he wouldn’t even come out to see us nor give me a simple signature. Temper tantrum time for doc Parker. His little feelings were hurt because I couldn’t go to rehab right away. I guess that he has had a perfect, privileged life without any interferences. A man child with an enormous ego. Even his secretary was dismayed. I would never recommend this fragile, selfish so called doctor to anyone.

Even after a very thorough intake and exam by his intern, Dr. Parker completely repeated everything so he could hear and see for himself, unencumbered by the laptop that so many younger doctors now look at instead of the patient. He was absolutely correct about what I had and how it would progress. Very calm, dignified, reassuring manner as well. A quintessential old school doctor.

Dr. Parker is a brilliant Doctor. I give credit where credit is due. However, his ego is too big. He seems to be in his element when he is mentoring for his student, he is proud of his "performance". His diagnosis was brilliant, however his ego gets in the way of him being nicer than he could be. He is too self important to get more involved.

Dr. Parker defends yawning in afternoon appointments -- three times in a row -- by saying it is the time when he should be tsking s nsp.
