Went in for a procedure and was very pleased with the care provided from the checking people to the lady who took me down to my car after discharge. Dr Paulus explained every step of what he was doing and created an atmosphere that was very calming.

Dr. Paulus is very good. I have been seeing him about 8 years. He listens to very thing you say and pretty much knows whats going on before you leave the office. Very nice and professional!!!

Does not listen to patients symptoms which leads prolonged pain and uncertainty. I had to go elsewhere to recieve both the proper care and referrals that were needed.

Dr. Paulus has relieved my excruciating pain many times over the last few years by taming the offending spinal nerves with steroid shots and cauterization in an operating room with live x-ray guidance. The pain relief lasts only a few months with the shots and quite a bit longer with the cauterization, but when pain is debilitating, sustained pain relief from a quick procedure is a godsend. As someone who’s been “blessed” with lots of spinal problems, I highly recommend Dr. Paulus’s services. I also highly recommend Dr. Paulus. He is smart, knowledgeable, congenial, and caring—a true professional and just a real nice guy. His office staff and OR assistants are also professional and personable. I’ve had nothing but positive interactions with them all. As for those who gave him poor reviews because he didn’t treat their non-spine related problems, get over it! YES, HE ONLY TREATS SPINES! Pain in a lot of different areas can come from the spine. He will gladly evaluate your pain… and let you know if his highly specialized services are what you need. If not, go elsewhere and stop complaining because there are plenty of us who need him for what he does. In fact, I’ll be calling him soon for my chronic neck muscle spasms. He cauterized a cervical nerve a few years ago that gave me complete relief for a long time, and the pain has come back only gradually. I’m so glad Dr. Paulus does what he does and does it well.

Had an epidural steroid injection this morning at C 6-7. He impressed me with his thoroughness as he double-checked with the physician who ordered the injection to make sure he got it in the right area. He also did not use sedation to perform the procedure and I had recently read it’s much safer to have these injections without sedation so that pleased me as well. I only felt the initial “pinch” and some minor pressure. I had injection site pain for about an hour and now I feel fine. Would definitely use him again.

He should be investigated for working with work comp insurance companies. He takes direct orders from the nurse case manager. He is a disgrace to his profession. If you start asking him a bunch of questions he gets rattled and will tell you he just works on the spine.
