Stephen Petras DMD, MAGD is director of the Stockton Dental Center where he has been practicing dentistry since 1987. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Loyola University and earned his dental degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 1986. Since that time he has acquired over 1200 hours of continuing dental education encompassing all areas of dentistry, including over 400 hours dedicated to hands –on skills and techniques.
Dr. Petras received his Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2006. This award is the highest honor available in the AGD and one of the most respected designations in the profession. Dr. Petras is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, Grant Dental Society, International Association of Orthodontics, American Association of Implant Dentistry and is currently president of the Northern Illinois Academy of General Dentistry.
