Dr. Stephen Pineda, MD

This Dr and staff are the best.

My sister met with Dr. Pineda and left knowing very little about the procedure he wanted to perform. She received a phone call a week after meeting with him. It was the Registrar calling to confirm her surgery for next day. Surgery had not been discussed with her. In fact, she'd observed him belittle an associate in training as he was trying to be humorous. Take someone with you when you deal with this physician. Ask him to draw where on the body the surgery will take place, what surgical pieces (screws, rods, etc.) will be used, and where. It is wise to leave his office with the drawing and procedure to be performed in writing.

Did not look me in the eye. Did not perform a hands on physical exam. Was very dismissive of my symptoms. I did not need surgery and was treated as I was clearly a waste of his time. I shouldn't have to require a big money generating surgery to be treated with respect and dignity. Left the office very disappointed and shocked at Dr. Pineda's lack of professionalism. Would not recommend him to anyone.

He did a spinal fusion on me in 2001. He had to first fix a previous surgery I had so that took an additional 4 hours under the knife. He saved me from basically going on disability. I'm still getting along great so many Thanks and very strong recommendation from me!!

Excellent doctor, very smart, well educated, many yrs of experience, takes his time with consultations & explains everything, answers questions, doesn't rush. He's top of the line in my opinion.
