Patients who leave the examination room and glimpse into the private office of Stephen Price, DDS, may be surprised to learn that their dintist is also an accomplished athlete and coach. Dozens of photos showcase his years a a coach——and Dr. Price says he credits both with helping to shape his personaliity and work ethic. he played football and lacrosse in high school and attended the University of Connecticut on a football scholarship. There he played under legendary coach Lou Holtz who was in the early years of his coaching career. After Dr. Price’s senior year Coach Holtz presented him with an opportunity to coach professionally following graduation, but by then Dr. Price had already been accepted into Georgetown Dental School and his career path was on a different trajectory. That’s not to say he left coaching behind. While at Georgetown, Dr. Price coached both football and lacrosse; in his senior year he started the first public school youth lacrosse …team in the area. In 1975 he bacame the head coach of the boys varsity lacrosse team at Lake Braddock High School……he continues to hold that position today. He is also an assistant varsity football coach and over the last 2 seasons help lead the Lake Braddock football team to 2 regional championships.
