Dr. Stephen Karl Reed, MD

A Fort Wayne native, Stephen Reed, MD, joined Lutheran Medical Group in July 1994. He began his career as a certified emergency paramedic and then worked as an emergency room technician before becoming a physician. Dr. Reed is a general cardiologist who specializes in invasive procedures and has a special interest in congestive heart failure. After receiving a bachelor's degree from Purdue University, Dr. Reed earned a medical degree from and completed an internal medicine residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he spent an extra year as a research fellow in the clinical pharmacology division. Dr. Reed completed a cardiology fellowship at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Dr. Reed, who is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology, is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology.
