Dr. Stephen G Rees, MD

Dr. Rees spent the time to get to know me as a patient, was very knowledgeable about procedures and at explaining them. I think that he is a very good Doctor and a genuinely nice guy.

Dr. Rees started out wonderful until my insurance wouldn't approve the meds he wanted me on. He then suggested a stimulator and because I was scared, I've already had 9 failed back surgeries, he walked out of the room and REFUSED to come back in and discuss anything with me! STAY AWAY!

I saw Dr Rees after a failed back surgery and from the start It was a unpleasant experience. My first visit was $650 and he prescribed medication that I told him I have taken prior and he didn't seem to care,next visit he spoke down towards me and made me feel like a idiot and said " your not in as much pain as you think you are" true story ,,, I saw him one last time and had enough.. If your really hurting and need relief trust me avoid Dr Reese , unless you like being spoken down to and have your Dr treat you like a junkie

Left his practice 6 months ago, after he moved to another state. Still waiting for my records after 6 months. He is now back in the area but not in the same city I was seeing him.

Had a spine implant put in at his' suggestion. Doesn't give adequate relief. Took me off meds that gave relief only to prescribe meds my insurances wont cover and dont work. Take it or leave it attitude in my opinion. Very unpleasant. Cannot get in to have implant settings mapped. His office staff is terrible and treat patients poorly. Very disorganized and apparently too busy to answer phone during business hours.

Dr. Rees is a wonderful Doctor. While many pain management Dr's seem to be interested in simply writing prescriptions for narcotics, Dr. Rees is genuinely concerned about helping his patients to get well. He is the only Dr. that I can say I have complete faith in him. I love to hear him whistling and singing as he walks the halls of his office. Wonderful man.

I was a patient of Dr. Rees' for 6yrs. At the end of my time there ,I had complained to the doctor that the meds he had me on were not working , nor were they lasting long enough, and I would run out before the end of the month. I did ask for him to either increse the dosage or give me more a month so I would not run out . He refused all three times I asked him . I thought a pain management doctors were supposed to help patients ! Dr.Rees kept incisting on the stimmulater to be put in my leg to help me . I refused and that is when he became a total jerk to me . Well I am sorry , but I have hardware in me already and my life turned upside down . You think I want something else in me !!!
