Went to him for a large bunion and a painful clicking between 3rd and 4th toe. He completely misdiagnosed a very large Morton’s Neuroma, and his solution to this misdiagnosis left my foot permanently deformed, with my small toe pointing upwards at a 45 degree angle. Went to Providence to an orthopedic foot surgeon for the neuroma removal. Beware of this guy.

Dr Rogers asked me "what did I do?" So I described my fall and how I had twisted my foot when I landed. He gave me an X-ray and said I had an ankle sprain. I was surprised because most of my pain was in my foot, but he is the doctor so what am I going to say. Thinking back, he never actually asked me where most of the pain was. He prescribed an MRI so I figured that would show where the damage was anyway. But when I got to the MRI (paid a large copay) they asked me to fill out a form describing my pain location, which was big toe and across the top of my foot over to the ankle. The nurse told me the MRI was ordered for my right lateral ankle, and that a separate MRI would be needed for the part of the foot which is actually in excruciating pain. Oh well. Time and money wasted. So when I called the office to tell them, the girl on the phone blamed ME, and said it was my fault for not telling him. She argued that I had written "sprain" on my chart which I wrote because o knew it was… not broken but since I'm not a doctor I don't know exactly which ligaments are sprained - my entire foot is swollen. This made me too mad - she kept arguing with me that it was my fault until she hung up on me. Very upsetting.

Love the doctor but office staff does not follow through. Don’t return calls. Scheduled for follow up visit after surgery but we’re never notified doctor not in. Had to go to another doctor in the group. Be prepared for inept office staff.

Through a MRI it was found that he had a large OCD lesion of the medial talar dome and well as tearing of the anterior inferior syndesmotic ligament. It was discuss about surgery needing to fix his ankle and foot. After a year of wearing a cast for 6-8 weeks, pt, cast again for 6 weeks, pt again, a walking boot with a simulator inside. All these things did not work. Dr. Rogers decided to finally perform the surgery. The day before surgery, he told my son and I to get a second opinion. This kid suffered in the hands of Dr. Rogers. We did seek a second opinion and the Dr. he saw could not believe this was not handle with surgery right away. Almost five years later he has needed four different surgeries. My son has seen the best ortho Dr. in R.I. and is talking about maybe a 5th surgery. My son saw a Workers Comp. Dr and he could not believe how bad my… son's foot was and agreed to another surgery. Dr. Rogers made a very poor decision and will never recommend him again.

cannot believe this man is still practicing. he absolutely ruined my daughter's feet by implanting cow bones and disfiguring her as well as causing her a near death infection. It is unimaginable that this man can sleep at night and still practice on people.
