I sought help of Dr. Rosenthal when I was diagnosed with a disease that required a surgery and at the same time lost a job for which I deeply cared about. I lost ability to sleep to concentrate going from one doctor to another getting panic attacks making it impossible to manage the simple tasks needed for my medical care. I faced the most difficult period in my life and needed someone who would stabilize my psychological state and guide me to recovery. Dr Rosenthal helped me to make sure that I apply properly for my insurance disability benefits and to face my surgeries. In the months that followed we talked a lot about humanity and the fact that I am not the only person who, after suffering injustice in the workplace and physical health issues, lost ability to function with revolving depressive episodes. For me what was the most valuable, beside traditional treatment, was that I had someone I could openly talk to and who understood that corporations, "bureaucracies" as he… called it, can run a person over causing an accident and not willing to face up to what they did. That, from historical perspective, this has always been happening. Through careful listening Dr. Rosenthal was able to guide me to: do what was in my control, to regain a normal mental state and to concentrate on my family life. I stayed under care of Dr, Rosenthal for little over one year. Now I came back to workforce in full capacity, perhaps little wiser and less anxious knowing that I can always call him in need. No doubt, I was fortunate to find Dr. Rosenthal in my hour of crises. Big thanks from me personally and from my family.

Dr. Rosenthal is a dedicated, compassionate psychiatrist. I know the words "compassionate" and "psychiatrist" don't often go together, but in this case, it is the truth. I had been seeing a multitude of doctors, all the while being given the wrong prescriptions and the wrong diagnosis. I suffered for 5 or 6 years on the wrong medications -- medications that masked my personality so that close friends no longer recognized me. Dr. Rosenthal revamped the medications I was on, removing one and adjusting another, and now after less than 1 year in his care I can say that for the first time in my LIFE I have been depression-free for almost 12 months. I am truly pleased and amazed. Re: Dr. Rosenthal's compassion, let me add: No other therapist has been reachable by phone to advise me how to change up my meds and get through a difficult period. Instead, other therapists have been unreachable, and I've had to call the emergency room at a local hospital to get help. To a highly functioning… person who is going through a hard time, the Hospital is not the place to be. I found Dr. Rosenthal's willingness to talk to me on the phone, even in the middle of the night, extremely helpful. After formerly being suicidal most of the time for more years than I care to remember, I am now a much happier, outgoing person. In short, I am more like the person I was before I got sick. Dr. Rosenthal makes you work hard, but the results are so worth it. I highly recommend him as a psychiatrist.

Dr. Rosenthal is sharp- right on the button of understanding. He is immersed in the welfare and improvement of his patients. He is also a very kind and caring person. I am happy to know him.

What is most memorable to me is that whatever concerns me, whatever my problem or problems are Dr. Rosenthal is able to treat the problem and help me to solve it.

I'm very happy with Dr. Rosenthal's treatment plan/treatment with me. He's very quick, bright and engaging. He's an avid listener and makes accurate observations almost every time. He's thorough and ready. He's predictably on-time and calls the day before and the day of my appointments to make sure I'm also on time. The meds he's given me have helped me and they (the meds) continue to evolve as we observe my getting better. I'm very pleased, and the goal is to not need any, or as much, help in the future...a lofty goal. NJS

If you want a doctor who is all about your care, I highly recommend Dr. Rosenthal. He is flexible with scheduling appointments. He is there for you anytime you need him, you don't have to go thru a moody secretary. He listens to what you say, can make you cry and smile at the same time. He is honest, doesn't sugar coat things. He is an important part of my life. I would highly recommend him to my friends, and family.

Wow - the review business must be tough when you are dealing with crazy people. I'm not excluding myself from that group. I've been seeing Dr. Rosenthal for 7ish years. It's the best thing I've ever done for myself. I am actually being treated for bipolar disorder instead of self-medicating and as a result I spend less time depressed and crying. I've seen no 'licking of the chops' when I've been upset. He hasn't pushed meds but rather discussed all options and let me decide. The most important part - the man picks up the phone 24x7. Who does that these days? I called him when I was suicidal and he talked me off the edge. We then talked every few hours after that to make sure I hadn't changed my mind again. If I were in crisis and knew I was going to get an answering service, I wouldn't bother calling. I would recommend him to anyone!
