Dr. Stephen R Rosenthal, MD

I was referred to Dr Rosenthal by my Gastroenterologist as I had dealt with sigmoid diverticulitis for over ten years. I could not have been more please with the results. Dr Rosenthal is a straight talking, to the point surgeon who took the time to explain the procedure, listen to and answered all of my questions. He executed a sigmoid colon resection on me and he displayed genuine care in the 4 days I was in the hospital during his daily visits checking on my progress. I found Dr Rosenthal to be completely professional with excellent bedside manner and he always has something to say that would put a smile on my face. Dr Rosenthal has excellent surgical skills and I am grateful that for what he did. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. On a scale of 1 to 5 I would rate him as an “10”.

Recently had surgery by Dr. Rosenthal, it was the most professional surgery I've ever had, and there have been more than several. His manner and professionalism can't be beat!

Dr. Rosenthal recently performed my surgery for the removal of my gallbladder. Everything concerning the pre-op discussions, the surgery and the post-op follow-up were performed in a professional manner with a high degree of excellence. I found Dr. Rosenthal easy to communicate with and thought he described my upcoming surgery in a way that was easy to understand. I would highly recommend Dr. Rosenthal to anyone needing a general surgeon.

Terrible bedside manner, arrogant, brusque. NOT recommended.

I know dr.Rosenthal for many years. He became our family surgeon. He was our surgeon four times. Every surgery he demonstrated an outstanding performance. I wish we have more doctors like dr.Rosenthal. I would recommend him to anybody who needs an honest doctor's opinion and help. My family has been blessed to know him. Thank you doctor!

His office staff was outstanding, seen the Doctor is was kind and understanding, took his time to explain everything. I have not had a doctor in a long time do that. Would refer him to all of my friends and family.

Poor communication. Inadequate postoperative information. Intolerant of questions. Very intimidating and dismissive.

Dr Rosenthal looked at my wife who had a growth on her right groin area. It had been lanced by our GP. He refused to do anything. One week later a different surgeon removed and found cancer. I wouldn't take any family member to see him. Bad attitude bad doctor!!
