Dr. Stephen Peter Sakovich, MD

Dr. Sacs deliver both my boys and cared for me thru a missed miscarriage. He delivered my sisters youngest son, all 5 of my nieces children and 2 of my friends babies. Love him!!! He is easily one of my favorite people.

ZERO STARS!!! Stephen Sakovich is a LIAR. He performed surgery on me in hopes of ending a three month long menstruation. On my post op appointment i told him the bleeding had NOT stopped to which he was supposed to prescribe medication to stop it. To my surprise two business days later and the pharmacy still had not contacted me to pick up my prescription. I called and left voicemails but no return. So i schedule another appointment with a different doctor at this clinic just to find out not only did he not prescribe anything he also lied on my medical records and put that i had stopped bleeding and the surgery was successful when it was not. He lied and told the nurse practitioner he never told me he was prescribing me anything. As a black woman i should’ve known better than to trust a cis gendered white male as my gynecologist. NEVER AGAIN!!! I am certainly escalating this to the state medical board and beyond.

I have been a patient with Dr. Sakovich since 2000. He has always given the time to answer questions. He advises what he believes to be best for situation at the time with thought of preventative care. Always a great bedside manner and experience knowing not liking these visits yet a must in womans world. Very thankful for Dr. Sakovich, Priscilla, nurses, office staff and Robin.

I've been going to Mac OBGYN since 2015, and love everyone I've had! The staff is so nice and organized, never have to wait for anything, and help me keep up my info before coming in. My main doctor is Dr. Gray and she has always been amazing, I was so happy she was the attending when I delivered my son. After the birth of my first son, I had to see Dr. ONeil for a surgery and everything with him went perfect! I now have been seeing midwife Clare, and can only say great things about her! She always makes me comfortable and makes sure I never leave an appointment with any questions. Soon I will be with Dr. Gray again for my c-section and couldn't be happier the same doctor will be who delivers both of my boys!

did a breast exam did not open my gown...he said no questions or that he will not address any issues at your first visit..as it's a well woman exam..and it's against the law to do so. You must return for another visit...He said; it is posted on the cabinet! I would never see this DrAgain nor give any referrals

At my last appointment, I had to wait a full hour, half-naked for Sakovich to arrive. Sakovich finally shows up and takes a biopsy. He told me his admin Priscilla would call with the results. However, he actually has a policy where his staff don't call with results; instead, they call to tell you they can't tell you the results until you come in. Priscilla insists she cannot under any circumstances provide me my lab results even though it's a violation of HIPAA to withhold a person's own medical records. I scheduled an appointment to come in and they call to cancel it on me because I'm late (appointment was at 3:45pm and they called to cancel at 3:47pm exactly). I was his last appointment for the day and he wanted to go home. It was particularly upsetting considering I had just waited an hour for him while half-naked not even a week earlier. Also, Sakovich cuts-off your prescriptions, including birth control, every year EXACTLY to force you to come in for a pap smear even… though the official recommendation by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is to get one every 3 years. They offer almost no flexibility; I always have to go around his admin Priscilla to find one of the other doctor's assistants to get a short extension. Priscilla has little to no sympathy on the phone and generally does not care to accommodate. Everything they do is centered around having you come in as much as possible to get more money, while sacrificing the wishes of the patient.

The worst experience ever doing a wellness exam with Peter Sakovich, so ROUGH and RUDE! NO CARE or attention given to the patient! The whole thing was roughly 2 min long. He never asked if I had questions or concerns since he said that I have to PAY again and come back to see him to have any concerns or questions answered!!! I'm hurt and feeling SICK after the whole examination! DISGUSTED and feel BUTCHERED! DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON!

My first experience walking in before seeing the Dr was pleasant. After meeting him he advised me that labs and a sonogram would be completed to see why I'm still spotting outside of my normal cycle. I was told to go wait back in waiting room I don't remember being told what labs would be done. Here I am waiting until I approach the receptionist and finally told oh yeah you're supposed to walk to Quest for that lab to be done. Smh mind you there's a lot of people working in this office. Know that the Doctor of this practice will not read your lab results like a normal doctor would. He prefers to scoop another office visit billed to your insurance and not have it as a follow up NOT COOL! In new patient paperwork I checked the box saying I want my medical labs and other discussions via phone. This is not what I look for when it comes to an OB this is already an uncomfortable process us females go through now I have to worry being ripped off ? Now, if I had Medicaid maybe I'd say well I… don't pay for it, but I do pay for my medical coverage and mind very much paying another co pay thank you. That's what my review is.

Dr Sakovich is an experienced and once physician. However, the time he spent with me was so short and I felt like I swig through a turn stile in his office. He tends to spend more quality time with his OB patients as opposed to his GYN patients. Waiting time varied and insurance billing there is erratic. At first the billed my insurance to cover extra testing then all of a sudden the coded it another way and I got billed $170 for what should have been a $20 co-pay. I am middle-aged, super healthy and monogamous. On my well woman visit, he told me it was totally routine and then I get billed for a high risk HPV test. Seriously? He never ever talked about ANY concerns with my health and should have discussed any concerns with me...the patient! Every time I go to his office, even or a follow-up visit, they insist we all take urinalyses. I told them mine was normal so why did I need another after a normal test three weeks earlier? The nurses' answers? It's just what we do here. WHAT? After… all this I found a good PCP here in the mid cities and severed ties with this practice. I think Dr Sakovich is just taking on way too much in his practice to be efficient. My opinion.

Really a awesome experience, the Doctor answered to all our questions and concerns, the staff is also great.
