Dr. Schmitt was the former Chairman of the Department of Prosthodontics at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, the largest Department of Defense hospital, and he served as Consultant to the Surgeon General of the Air Force. He spent the past seven years in private practice developing Voxelogix’s digitally integrated full arch restoration protocol. He has nearly 30 years of clinical and teaching experience. He is a nationally recognized pioneer in digitally assisted restorative dental treatment.
Dr. Schmitt formerly served as the Director of the Medical Group for Rapid Technologies in the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and is a highly sought speaker at both manufacturing and dental conferences.
As the founder of Digital Implant Technologies and Voxelogix Corporation, Dr. Stephen Schmitt also holds several recognized patents.
In 1975 he received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Minnesota. He then earned his specialty …certification in Prosthodontics from Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in 1982 and his Masters of Science in Prosthodontics from the University of Texas Health Center in the same year.
He is a diplomat of the American Board of Prosthodontics. Dr. Schmitt has lectured throughout the United States and Europe.
Before solely focusing on Voxelogix, he held a private Prosthodontic practice for the last 15 years in San Antonio, Texas.
